AC Milan are reportedly exploring a last-minute deal to sign Liverpool defender Joe Gomez as the January transfer window enters its final stages.
The Rossoneri are eager to finalize their defensive reinforcements and have identified the 28-year-old Englishman as a top priority.
Allegri Identifies Gomez as Primary Target from Liverpool
According to journalist Daniele Longo, manager Massimiliano Allegri is a long-term admirer of Gomez’s versatility and experience.
Milan’s interest in the defender is well-established, following a failed attempt to bring him to the San Siro during the summer.
The club is now hopeful that Liverpool might be open to a late departure to facilitate the move before the deadline.

Milan Pivot to Gomez After Cooling Interest in Other Options
The pursuit of Joe Gomez intensified after other defensive targets became unavailable.
Technical director Igli Tare had considered Juventus’s Federico Gatti, but the Italian center-back opted to remain in Turin.
Additionally, while Radu Dragusin was offered to the club, the Milan hierarchy decided to pass on the Tottenham defender to focus their efforts on Gomez.
The success of the deal now hinges on whether Liverpool will sanction a late-window exit for the seasoned international.
