Arsenal Confirm New Arrival Following Transfer Deadline

Arsenal have officially confirmed the signing of a new player just hours after the January transfer window closed.

While the club was linked with high-profile moves for stars like Sandro Tonali following an injury to Mikel Merino, no first-team signings were finalized before Monday’s deadline.

However, the Gunners have bolstered their future ranks by securing the signature of 18-year-old defender Jaden Dixon, who joins the club’s academy from Stoke City.

Arsenal Secure Talented Youth Defender Jaden Dixon

The Arsenal Academy welcomed Jaden Dixon, noting his transition from Championship side Stoke City.

Dixon, who originally moved to Stoke from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, signed his first professional contract in May 2024.

The young defender has already represented England at under-17, 18, and 19 levels and is also eligible to play for Jamaica.

Dixon shared a farewell message to his former club, expressing gratitude to the coaches and staff at Stoke City for their support during his development.

The transfer is currently awaiting the finalization of standard regulatory processes.

Second Academy Signing for Arsenal This Week

Jaden Dixon becomes the second youth prospect to join Arsenal this week, following the arrival of Evan Mooney on Monday.

Mooney, also 18, joined the Gunners from the Scottish Premiership side St Mirren.

These signings come as Mikel Arteta’s squad prepares for a critical Carabao Cup semifinal second leg against Chelsea.

Holding a 3-2 lead from the first leg, the Gunners are focused on securing a place in the final at Wembley.
