Karim Benzema has officially completed his move to Al Hilal following a breakdown in negotiations with rivals Al Ittihad.
The 38-year-old striker expressed his excitement after his first training session under manager Jorge Jesus, noting the club’s rich history of success.
Benzema revealed that the transition felt natural, comparing the stature of the Saudi club to his former team in Spain and stating that Al Hilal is essentially the Real Madrid of Asia.

The French forward highlighted the similarities between the two clubs, citing the winning mentality, high-quality players, and a passionate fan base.

Benzema recalled his previous experiences playing against Al Hilal during his time with Real Madrid, remembering them as a formidable opponent.
Now as a part of the squad, he has pledged to give his all to help the current league leaders secure more trophies.
The transfer, orchestrated to keep one of football’s biggest names in the Saudi Pro League, comes after Benzema helped Al Ittihad win the league and King’s Cup last season.
With eight goals in 14 league appearances already this term, the former Ballon d’Or winner is expected to make his debut for Al Hilal this Thursday against Al Okhdood.
