Liverpool face setback in Diomande pursuit as Salah exit rumors intensify

Liverpool’s summer transfer plans have encountered a significant hurdle following RB Leipzig’s firm stance on teenage sensation Yan Diomande.

Despite the 19-year-old being a primary target for the Merseyside club, the German side has indicated they will refuse even record-breaking offers to keep the forward for another season.

This development comes at a challenging time for the Reds, who are looking to bolster their attacking options amid growing uncertainty regarding the future of Mohamed Salah.

Saudi Pro League prepares low-cost bid for Mohamed Salah

Speculation regarding Mohamed Salah’s departure has reached new heights as he enters the final year of his contract.

Reports suggest that the Saudi Pro League is intensifying its efforts to bring the Egyptian icon to the Middle East, potentially offering him an ambassadorial role alongside a stake in a league club.

Interestingly, sources indicate that the valuation for the 33-year-old has dropped significantly; after a massive £150 million bid was rejected in 2023, the Pro League is now reportedly only prepared to offer around £36.9 million—the same amount Liverpool originally paid for him in 2017.

In addition to the Salah saga, Liverpool is reportedly monitoring Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers.

While the 23-year-old England international has attracted interest from several elite clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, a move to Anfield remains uncertain due to his high valuation and Liverpool’s preference for a natural winger.

As the season nears its conclusion, the club’s hierarchy faces difficult decisions regarding their veteran stars and the necessary reinforcements to remain competitive at the highest level.
