FC Barcelona successfully secured a place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals after a dominant 7–2 victory over Newcastle United on Wednesday, in the second leg of the Round of 16.
Barcelona delivered an outstanding performance against Newcastle, crushing the Magpies with seven goals to advance with an 8–3 aggregate score, after the first leg ended in a 1–1 draw last week.
Barcelona are aiming to win their sixth Champions League title in history, a trophy that has eluded them since 2015.
Last season, Barcelona reached the semi-finals of the Champions League before being narrowly eliminated by Inter Milan in a dramatic encounter.

Barcelona’s quarter-final schedule in the Champions League
The first leg of the quarter-final will be played on either Tuesday or Wednesday, April 7 or 8, while the second leg is set for April with exact timings to be announced later.
Barcelona will face the winner of the clash between Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur, with Atletico having secured a commanding 5–2 victory in the first leg.
If Barcelona face Atletico Madrid in the quarter-finals, it will mark the fifth meeting between the two sides this season, following their encounters in La Liga and the Copa del Rey semi-finals.
