Real Madrid returned to training on Thursday after the day off granted to the squad following Tuesday’s Champions League win in Lisbon, but head coach Álvaro Arbeloa received no positive injury news ahead of the weekend.
Injuries Bite: Real Madrid’s Arbeloa Still Short on Squad for Osasuna Clash
Eder Militao, Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo remain in the middle of their recovery processes and will all miss Real Madrid’s next match, which comes on Saturday away to Osasuna at El Sadar.
Rodrygo had been the only one with a realistic chance of returning in time. His expected absence was initially estimated at around 10 days after the club reported tendinosis in his right hamstring on February 6.

However, 13 days have now passed, and the winger’s progress appears insufficient for him to be included in the squad.
Real Madrid head into the Osasuna fixture looking to protect the league lead they secured last weekend, following their win over Real Sociedad and Barcelona’s defeat against Girona.
According to the club, the players who started in the Champions League victory over Benfica carried out a specific recovery session, while the rest of the squad completed an intense possession-based workout.
The session later included speed drills with the ball, before finishing with several small-sided matches.
