England captain Harry Kane has emerged as a prime transfer target for a major European club, and surprisingly, it’s not Manchester United.
Kane, 32, is currently with England for World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania, and is arguably in the peak form of his career, having scored 23 goals and provided three assists in 17 appearances for Bayern Munich this season.
Harry Kane Eyes Barcelona Opportunity
Despite appearing happy in Germany, where he won the Bundesliga in 2024/25, Kane continues to be linked with a move away from Bayern.
His contract runs until June 2027, but a £57 million release clause could be activated in the summer of 2026.
The striker has previously been linked to a return to the Premier League, with Manchester United, Liverpool, and former club Tottenham among the rumored destinations.

Last month, Kane suggested he was open to staying longer at Bayern: “I could definitely see that… it depends on what we achieve together next year.”
Reports from The Guardian indicate that Kane is being considered as a younger alternative to Robert Lewandowski, whose contract at Barcelona is still unresolved.
Lewandowski, 37, has struggled with injuries and may eventually be phased out, making way for Kane to step in.
A move to Barcelona would not only offer Kane a chance to compete at the top of La Liga but also allow him to seek guidance from England teammate Marcus Rashford, currently on loan in Catalonia, about adapting to life at the Spanish club.
