Ibrahima Konate’s next career move has taken an unexpected turn after Real Madrid reportedly abandoned their pursuit of the Liverpool defender.

Konate, 26, had been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid following the expiration of his Liverpool contract in June.
Fans widely expected him to reunite with former teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold at the Bernabéu.

With the Spanish giants out of the picture, Bayern Munich have reportedly emerged as a potential destination.
According to Christian Falk, the German champions are exploring options as a replacement for Dayot Upamecano, whose contract situation remains uncertain.
