Yamal Talks Pressure and Ambition After Double Honour at Globe Soccer
In his acceptance speech, he highlighted the increasing responsibilities he carries within the squad:
“I think last year I was just the new kid who had arrived, and now I feel the pressure of being an important player. Thankfully, everything has gone well,” he said, demonstrating remarkable maturity for his age.
Asked about his role models, Yamal gave a candid response: “It’s best not to compare yourself to anyone. Players like Cristiano Ronaldo reached their level by focusing on being themselves and not comparing with others.”
He also credited much of his success to the support of his family and friends, revealing that at home, his mother has the final say in decisions.
“Any individual or team award is an honour. Now, the focus is on continuing to work hard and achieve even more,” Yamal concluded, emphasizing his ambition, dedication, and determination to keep excelling on the world stage.
