Zubimendi Dismisses Real Madrid Links Amid Stellar Arsenal Campaign

Martin Zubimendi has addressed recent speculation suggesting that Real Madrid are in need of his services following a turbulent season for the Spanish giants.

Despite the managerial shift from Xabi Alonso to Alvaro Arbeloa, Real Madrid currently sit second in La Liga and must navigate a Champions League playoff against Benfica.

However, Zubimendi, who joined Arsenal from Real Sociedad last summer in a major deal, remains fully committed to his life in London.

Arsenal Star Zubimendi Rejects Real Madrid Transfer Speculation

When asked about the rumors linking him to a move to the Bernabeu, Zubimendi was quick to shut down the talk.

Speaking to Cadena SER, the midfielder stated that he does not believe Real Madrid needs him, noting that their current squad possesses more than enough quality to succeed.

His focus remains entirely on the Emirates, where he has become a vital component of Mikel Arteta’s side, tallying five goals and three assists across 33 appearances.

Under Arteta, Arsenal have enjoyed a dominant 2025-26 season, sitting at the top of the Premier League and reaching the Carabao Cup final.

Zubimendi acknowledged that while he has adapted well to English football, he has found the Premier League to be an incredibly demanding environment with high-pressure matches.

His performances have earned him immense praise from Arteta, who recently labeled the Spaniard’s ability to control various spaces on the pitch and his composure in the final third as phenomenal.
